Lab 5(b) : Step-by-step to run Back Test.

 Step 1 : Click 'Expert Properties' at 'Experts' tab and a window will be appear. Change the data as below.

 

Step 2: For 'Testing', choose 1000 USD for Initial deposit. Positions 'Long & Short'. Optimized parameter to Balance. Tick 'Genetic algorithm'. Then, click OK.

 

 Step 3: Go to 'Tools' and click 'Options'.









 Step 4: In charts, type 9999999999999 for both Max bars in History and Chart. Then, click 'OK'.





Step 5: Run as Lab 5(a) in the previous post.

 


 Step 5: Go to 'Optimization Graph'.



 Step 6: Copy all data in 'Optimization Results' and Paste in Microsoft Excel. Sort to 'Largest to Small'. and get the first row data.


 Step 7 : Change data in MetaEditor for the Expert Advisor with all the data in Excel. Save/Compile it.

Step 8: Reset 'Inputs' in Expert Properties.

 Step 9 : Run.
